Women and Famous Men

Yet another famous man in the UK got caught having an affair with a leggy beauty, John Terry lost his football captaincy with England over his alleged affair with French lingerie model Vanessa Perroncel.
She recently announced that she would not 'kiss and tell' about their five-month relationship.
The estranged girlfriend of Terry's former team-mate Wayne Bridge, reputedly offered £250,000 for her story, stood silently beside her publicist Max Clifford as he somberly announced that she would not be cashing in.
In the aftermath of Tiger Woods and his penchant for sexy ladies who couldn’t stop blabbing their mouths off, you would think lessons have been learned.
But hang on a minute…should we the public be devouring stories about powerful men who dabble in extra marital affairs? Is it really our business and why is it still shocking to realise that men in the public eye like a bit on the private side?
Last week it was revealed that 'Family Fortunes' TV presenter Vernon Kay will go ahead with his BBC Radio 1 show this weekend.
Earlier in the week reports had suggested that the broadcaster had asked to pull out of the show because he was afraid that listeners would react to his recent admission that he sent racy texts to a model.
According to The Mirror, a Radio 1 spokesperson said: "He will be doing his show on Saturday."
"The matter was discussed and Vernon wants to do the show so it's business as usual."
Kay, who is married to TV’s 'Strictly Come Dancing' presenter Tess Daly, previously said that he was "sorry" over the messages.
Vernon Kay admitted he was playing with fire by just engaging in some sexy messages, but was totally faithful to his wife, yet somehow the whole story has landed badly for the former model. As far as wives and partners are concerned, talking dirty with another woman is juts as bad as being dirty!
Women who are on the edges of fame, who are either sexy dancers or topless models are being painted as ‘entrapment whores’ by the UK media, warning all famous men to be careful of such ‘hussies’.
Yet again, women get the blame of offering Adam the apple; no one forced them to bite the forbidden fruit, and when core is left - women get smeared with the temptation and debauchery of the innocent man!
Men’s inevitable weakness is always overlooked and women’s ability to drag them to damnation will constantly be the last word in the story of the fallen man. When will this change?
When Bill Clinton famously admitted to ‘having relations’ with ‘that woman’ he immediately garnered sympathy, and the knives were drawn out for Monica Lewinski, who could not fail to see the stress poor Bill was under, and she made herself available, she was vilified.
Married men have sex with other women because they can, not because their wives are ugly, it has all to do with power, self esteem and the emotional security of the man involved, it’s rarely about the sex.
Page Three Model and former Big brother star Nichola T who has recently spilt with one footballer and is now dating another -said in the Sun newspaper that “infidelity is rife within football as few men are capable of turning down the advances of lusty ladies”.
The former Page 3 pin-up said: "Most footballers are probably like John Terry.
"If any bloke is given a load of female attention when they're out and temptation's put in front of, there's going to be a pretty high percentage of men who'll take it.
"It's not just footballers. I think with footballers, it's just offered more to them because of the situation they're in - and girls are just shallow."
There is a lot to be said about the women who take part in the tell-all-sex scandals, but there needs to be a change in attitude regards the people who eat these sordid stories up and then blame all women for having the moxie to offer a married man some fun on the side.
Personal responsibility and a bit of savvy is all that’s needed, people need to be responsible for their own actions, and women need to stop being blamed as sex tempting witches.
Sexual affairs in the public domain are nothing new, throughout the centuries and since time began, illicit affairs have been at the heart of ancient wars, the fall of civilisations and fire side drama’s.
I personally believe that as soon as we the public refuse to be fed these personal affairs as news, the sooner newspapers will stop publishing them as breaking news.
The laws surrounding privacy in the UK are constantly being challenged by the people who are being exposed. What angers me is, in the case of John Terry, he had committed a catalogue of bar brawls, violence and having sex with a 17yr old girl in his car, yet the press chose to just expose his alleged infidelity, it seems the press can drip feed and chose what they want to leak to the public. I am horrified that his past violent behaviour was deemed too innocuous to expose, but his sexual shenanigans weren’t! What does that say about us as a society?
The only time we the public should be made aware of a famous persons behaviour is when the participants involved have used their own virtuous public persona as an example for us to use as a moral compass, until then…public figures should have the right for the private affairs to remain so.
